About us

We want to improve the quality of life of our community

Our Story
Volunteers in Batley, West-Yorkshire, UK, founded a constituted community group and conceived a project to improve the landscape and perk up the quality of life of the people around the site and the surrounding areas. The dedicated work of volunteers has successfully established a foundation for a community growing garden with growing and DIY-facilities. The accomplished and ongoing voluntary work have paved the way for future projects which aim to deliver further reaching charity work both at local community level and for the wider community. These projects should enhance the existing facilities and provide additional facilities to attract members and non-members for learning basic skills, training and further education as well as getting together to exchange experience and celebrate.
The community group has now become a registered charity "The Hamm-Damm Foundation" in the UK and is prepared, along side other charities, to take on the challenges we face today at different levels. The central idea of the project is to bring people together by engaging community members in useful practical work as well as positive social activities in a relaxed atmosphere with Info-Seminars, Q&A-sessions, discussions with food and refreshments.
